Diwali Festival

Diwali is one of the most popular and joyful festivals in India. It is also called the “Festival of Lights.” People celebrate it with great happiness and enthusiasm.

Before Diwali, people clean and decorate their houses. They make beautiful rangolis and hang colourful lanterns. On the day of Diwali, families light oil lamps (diyas) and decorate their homes with lights. People wear new clothes and visit relatives and friends to exchange sweets and gifts.

At night, the sky is filled with fireworks, which look very beautiful. Many people perform Lakshmi Puja to pray for wealth, happiness, and prosperity. Special sweets like laddoos, barfis, and chaklis are prepared at home.

Diwali also teaches us the victory of good over evil, as it marks the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. We should enjoy the festival safely and avoid too many firecrackers to protect the environment.

Diwali is a time of joy, unity, and celebration with our loved ones.
