Children’s Day

Children’s Day is celebrated every year on 14th November in India. It is the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India. He loved children very much and was fondly called Chacha Nehru.

Pandit Nehru believed that children are the future of the nation and should be given love, care, and education. On this day, schools organise special programs like songs, dances, speeches, and games for students. Teachers also participate to make the day more enjoyable.

Children are given sweets, gifts, and sometimes taken on picnics or trips. The day is filled with fun and happiness.

Children’s Day reminds us of the importance of giving proper education and a safe environment to every child so they can grow into responsible citizens.

It is a day to celebrate childhood and to spread joy among all children.
